Where the phrase came from
It started on TikTok around 2020, out of the habit of narrating ordinary moments as if they were scenes — walking somewhere with headphones in, framed like an opening shot. It was half a joke about self-importance and half a genuinely useful instruction, and the second half is why it stuck.
What it looks like in what you wear
One repeated signature detail does more than a whole new wardrobe: the same silver rings, one colour you always wear, a jacket people recognise. Main characters in films are costumed consistently, which is exactly why you can picture them. Consistency reads as intent, and intent is the whole effect.
The part nobody mentions
